Nice truck! Love the colors. I agree with other´s in this thread, rather spend the money on cleaning it up a bit than on a cowl hood if you don´t need it beacuse of engine plans ( I like the cowl look too, but only if it has a purpouse)
As for the side trim, if I were you I would think twice about leaving it off. Did it on a friends truck, was fine in the beginning but after a while it just started to look plain and he ended up puting them back.
Just my 2 c, it´s your truck so build it like you want it. People will allways have opinions about what´s "hot" and whats not.
