After looking at the control again I don't think there rivets I think there casted pins that got mushroomed over after assemebly I just don't know if there is enough meat there to drill and tap. I could glue it but I would like to use machine screws. As for the cutter pin holding the leavers in my father inlaw probably was out of bailing wire.
