most of the time its something stupid like low coolant or a thermostat.. the other issue is usually the flapper door on the box.. Unless you have no heat or a leak in the passenger compartment the heater core is usually good.
CHeck to make sure when the truck is at normal operating temperature that both hearer lines on the motor are hot.. if one is hot and one is cold then there is a blockage of some kind in the heater core
