I have heard of used car lots using atf and sometimes a water sprayer (squirt bottle) to break up carbon on real old motors but never to store one, but guess on a solid lifter motor it would coat the cylinders w/ oil in case one of the cylinders was stopped w/ a valve open, and it might prevent rusting but the cylinders would be hot enough to burn off any oil
