So for anyone still following along, I've learned something today...... Turns out the inline 6 in Tanya is not the 230 the old man told me it was, it really is a 292! Since I have had a few friends attempting to convince me to build the 6, I have purchased a book by Santucci that is considered to be "the bible" of six cylinder Chevys. I'm starting to like this idea more and more, and since discovering the engine in Tanya is a 292, I think I'm going to go for it. I've never done one before, so this sould prove to be fun and interesting. If it doesn't work out to my satisfaction, then I still have that sweet small block I picked up for her. I'm pretty stoked, this should be a good time.
