I would not do that if I were you, there are a few variables like which engine, which engine mounts, which holes did you use to mount the engine, which transmission crossmember, etc, wait, measure 3 times and it should end up 1.5" shorter with a 350, 700r4, mine had a 250 6 with 3 on tree....but I would wait and measure it. There really is not reason to go to a new shaft unless you are building a monster motor. Kieth Oh now I see your name bigblok.....hmm I would just go with what the driveline shop says...
