A normal spindle should be about centered between the upper and lower a-arms. How fa off center towards the upper arm will give you an idea on how much the drop is from your spindle (if any). I have no idea how to tell how much spring drop there is without comparing the two springs side by side (or looking at the box the dropped springs came in
).
