I'm in the process of installing a LS1/T56 in mine. I'm also doing a different front and rear so it will be a while until I get back to the engine. You can get SBC to LS1 adapters. The harness is no problem. You can modify it youself or send it out to have done or purchase one already done. About a six wire hookup. I will admit this is not the cheapest or easist install but it's got some great advantages. I will be using a 6.0l block to increase cid and am shooting for 475rwhp n/a. With 3.73's and the six speed I'll still be able to get better than 20mpg. You can get LS1edit to do your own computer tuning or you can send it out to have done. Not sure about the Muncie bolting up but the LS1 bolt pattern is different than the rest of the SBC's including the LT1 (supposedly just one bolt off here).
