Geeeeez, thumbs up to Bob for being the only one who was not afraid to be wrong! I thought this would be fun. Apparently not.

Anyway, for anyone who cares, when I put the motor back in I didn't find the giant mouse nest that had been built inside the accordian duct attached to the air cleaner housing! If you can believe it, an entire family of mice had been living in there and they would re-build the nest at night after I had sucked a hole through it after driving around each day. This was why the the truck had been sometimes rough running and sometimes cutting out and sometines running fine. Afier the mouse nest tumbled out the other day when I actually took off the housing to dump out a rather large clump of grass it ran fine (after I re-adjusted the carb so it could actually get some fuel now that it was finally getting some air) I had actually been finding little bits of grass in the housing now and then and kept cleaning them out but didn't really think anything of it because I live down a long dirt road and there are alot of hay fields on the property. Live and learn. So next time any of you guys are having trouble with a fresh re-build. After you have pulled your hair out and torn down the motor for the second or third time, remember to remove the mouse nest so your new engine can actually breath, and all will be well.

By the way, now I do notice the difference between my 350 and the 305 and I like it!
