I'm sorry i'm not trying to be rude, but this just is not happening. I have been in the performance industry for a very long time, and there is no way a stockish 350 is going to push that truck to 150+ MPH.
I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that you do not have 3.08 gears in the rear end of that truck, That really is the only explanation if this all actually happened like you say it did.
My stock 2003 Corvette, with a 340 HP LS1 and a six speed, tops out of 178 mph. So your saying a truck made in the 70's that weighs about twice as much, has considerably less horsepower, an automatic transmission (with associated drivetrain loses), and wind resistance equal to a school bus only comes in 20 mph behind it?
