Keep in mind that powder coating costs will vary a bit from area to area. Also, not all powder coating is equal. Just as with liquid paint, preparation is very important to the durability of the finished product. IMO abrasive blasting as the prep for powder coating is the absolute best.

I` am a believe in blasting but the major pow coat shop in our area web site states that blasting embeds sand into the metal which then explodes under the high temp and causes blisters...anybody have this issue?
