I finally got the motor off the engine stand...
....but it's still not in the truck
. I needed to get the motor/trans mated so I can try & get it into the engine bay soon. After getting the the engine on the floor & the trans bolted up, I had to build a moving dolley to be able to move the combo until installation day arrives. Talk about heavy. It was a SOB trying to push that iron-headed bbc/th400 pairing up my slightly sloped driveway & into the garage.
After work today, I got new hardware & torqued the converter to the flexplate. I still have a few other odds/ends to source & as always, I'm waiting on more parts....
