I found nothing on the dyno or on the track with being overly anal about indexing on a small closed chamber head like a SBC AS LONG AS the spark kernel wasn't shouded by the ground strap. I mean there is about 180° there that is ALL WRONG for sure, but I havent found any measurable proof at the 797 n/a HP level that there is any 3HP in spark plug indexing,, and believe me,, we looked and looked for those last 3 HP

But that's just my combination,, your results may vary.
