On many conversions, yu can run either or on the fuel. That would be the best of both worlds.
Better check the price of propane though, From what I understand, it is about twice what gasoline is right now.
But it does burn very clean and your oil will stay clean practicly forever.
Also, if the seller has papers on the conversion, the feds will pay you a certian amount for converting to an alternative fuel. (contact a member by the name of ProTrucks for info on this)
