Re: cheyenne-10 & super emblem location
Ok, I know this is an oooollldddd thread, BUT, if the alignment of the "Super" is supposed to be "S" in super aligned under the "C" in cheyenne, then why are there SOoooo many out there that are done "incorrectly"? Ok, harsh word, what I mean is - "other than originally done by Mr. Chevrolet?" I mean -if you're gonna restore an original "super" then the holes are already in the right place - if you're gonna build a clone, why go to so much effort in the restoration and then drill the dang holes in the wrong place? Hmmm.
And I won't even go into the vertical spacing between the two....
Now, for me, I agree with the above statement that the Super is always aligned with the Cheyenne (i.e. "left justified" as you look at the emblems - from either side of the truck).
And based on looking at the original 72 sales brochure, I'm assuming the exact same logic applies to the Custom Deluxe emblems (i.e. I think post #4 is incorrect (?)).
Can someone put my mind at ease and settle this once and for all? - I'm actually losing sleep over this! (ok, that's an exaggeration, only for effect....)
