71/72 Cheyenne Super Glovebox question...

The "original" Supers I've seen all have a narrow trim ring around the woodgrain section (ok, not sure if it's a "ring" but - you know, the shiny thingy) - but I've never seen it sold anywhere. I've never actually seen one in person (I know, I gotta get out more...) - actually, I've only owned Cheyennes (non-supers) and whenever I've seen a Super in person, I just never thought to LOOK at that little detail. Anyone got a close up shot/description of it?

Was the original woodgrain from the factory an applique like the aftermarket ones are now? The lack of the trim always seems to be a dead giveaway of a cloned Super, so I never really understood why folks did just the wood with no trim - or if maybe they were just waiting til they could find that specific trim, or something else. I always really liked my 'ol body color glovebox, but kinda curious about some of the Super details.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, while we're at it - I saw a post the other day that said that the Super tailgate handle was chrome (chrome cover in 72). I've NEVER noticed that either - is the actual handle chrome/covered with a chrome cover - or is it just the trim above the tailgate. Pic would be helpful to point out what's different about the tailgate of the Super. I've seen many pics of Supers, but still never seen the tailgate specifics pointed out. Thanks for your patience with a 60-66 kinda guy... I owned my Cheyenne in high school, which was a "few" years ago
