Well in terms of 4l80e there are a good amount many differences mine being 91 has neutral safety switch on the steering column now after that I think there is about 3 more wiring changes and also a 4l85e as well but the second years I think had the 4 wire neutral safety switch on tranny then the other plugins which can be swapped into the older years like mine, after that the neutral safety switch went to I think a 6 wire and then on to even more ill take a pic of my 05 wire tomorrow but anyways just a little info hope its not too confusing but aside from some internal changes, neutral safety switch move and more wires all good :-p
