Joesjunk is exactly right, however....

Due to the MO DMV changing the design of the plate and the numbering system, year of manufacture trucks plates are becoming available. For instance, I am running a single (1) YOM truck plate on my truck legally approved by the MO DMV with documentation to prove it.

Unfortunately the process needed to add the plate is difficult if you are not in close proximity with the JC office. If a reasonable distance away, you have to mail in your documentation and a picture of the plate. You will then wait to either receive approval or disapproval of your plate. DO NOT CALL INTO THE MO DMV TO VERIFY THE PLATE OVER THE PHONE!!!! I "verified" my plate over the phone (prior to purchasing) that it was not in use and low and be hold when I went to transfer the plates... "Sorry, the plate is currently in use."
