Re: the not-so full wheel covers
All bowties on the trucks were blue from 69-72. That's on the front of the truck,in the horn cap,on hubcaps,in sales brochures...anywhere. Before that it was read and after that it was yellow...for all bowties on the truck.
Option code PO3 was the wheel covers,which was an option on all trucks*. Chrome hubcaps was standard on Cheyenne & Cheyenne Super and an option on Custom & Custom Deluxe. *I can't remember everything,so maybe Cheyenne Supers came standard with wheel covers. I'd have to check to be sure.
