Re: Torchered

What a busy day. Made it to the shop and discussed the radiator cover and more. What do you guys think? I thought what might have been a mistake turned out to solve an issue ill share in a moment.

Yes the radiator cap is exposed.

The radiator cover acts as the upper mount as well. I love the curve added by the fabricator. On the right side of the picture you can see the core support and how the cover falls away from it. Not the line I was shooting for.

Now for that problem. The cover cuts down below the radiator core support. On previous disscussions I had expressed making this a flowing peice. After looking at it a bit it struck me, the curve/lip on the back of the radiator cover should be brought to the front of the core support. This will create a shelf accross the front support and cover the upper latch bolts on the core support. Then with the addition of a peice from the grill that will run back to the core support and curve up it will block off that gap between the radiator core support and the grill in a unique way with clean flowing lines. Big thanks to John "Fabricator Extrodinar"
