WTB: 60-66 Chevy Tailgate
Local Southern California guys:
I am looking for a 60-66 Chevy tailgate with the original white lacquer paint still on it. If it's lacquer-checked and the paint is faded and the primer is showing through, that's EXACTLY what I'm looking for. It must be straight, though.
My '64 was missing the original tailgate when I bought it. I have a tailgate that's in really nice shape, but it's primered. There's no way I can match the factory paint in a "fauxtina" that will accurately match the rest of the paint on the truck. I plan on keeping the factory white on the rest of the truck.
Let me know what you've got. If you're planning on painting your truck, and you don't mind a very nice primered tailgate, we can do a trade and I'll throw in some extra parts to sweeten the deal. I'll make it worth your while.
