Received a call from Lonnie at Carolina Kustoms this morning. There was an issue with the rear bumper fitment. I believe earlier I stated they would be working from the front to the rear. The front fenders had to be sent out for blasting. So they moved on to the next area. Looks like chevy itus hit the shop, this is one of two trucks now owned by the crew working there.


This how it looked today


The plan is to cut aand section the lower quarter down to extend the body line to the bottom of the bumper. this is a mock up, 2" will be added on the bumper side. The bumper will be narrowed .5" on each side and a lip will be added to the inside edge. A pocket will be cut into the quarter panel like a 68 chevelle or this ford bumper sitting at work.




Forgot to mention the hole bumper will be moved forward 1.5"s. We had considered sectioning the rear bumper top to bottom but due to cost and difference in bumper sizes front and rear I like this option better.
