Don't think attaching something to a wood ceiling joist would be a good idea. Steel beam could be used. If it were mine, I'd take it to a body shop and see if they can straighten it. You might be better off looking for a piece of windshield frame and having it cut and welded in. Correct dimensions critical for glass reinstall and top.
