A flip for the rear will get you more like a 8-9" drop due to the height of the factory spring pack. I think the easiest way to get 6" would be lowering shackles, hangers, and then remove your overload and a leaf spring or two. 3" spindles for the front are ok and you should be fine cutting the factory coils, 1 coil should be close to 2".

You might want to think about adding some helper bags to the rear if you do a lot of towing especially if you remove leafs. Western chassis makes good stuff and a bolt in cnotch if the 6" drop gets your axle gets too close to your frame.
