That is very clever. It never would have occurred to me to move the wheels outboard. It looks really zoomy, and should be a hit at the local car shows.

I rebuilt a similar Murray back in the early 70’s. The green one was for my niece and the red one for my oldest son. Although the photo is tired the one of the left was leftover hideous lime green with Ford bright blue flames. The red one had a broken front axle so I swapped in the steering crossmember from a “late model” Mustang, and for the gasser look it got tricycle spokes for the front. The little kid in the picture is now 40 and still owns and cherishs both pedal cars. Childhood bonds can last a lifetime.
