Again, I don't know much about this series trans. Google is your friend. I do know that the T5 trans that came in the 3rd Gen Camaros were never offered behind a 350 because Tremec would not warranty them for GM because the 350 put out too much torque. You could only get them on 305 or V6 engines.

As it is, the Camaro trans typically puts the shifter too far back for a truck with a bench seat. That's why many will take a Camaro T5 and with some mods, put a S10 T5 tail housing on, which places the shifter more forward.

Before you get too far into this, do A LOT of research. I put a Jeep AX15 5 speed into my '65, using a Novak adapter plate. The AX15 is stronger than the GM T5 and that's why I did it. So far very happy with it. I did a ton of research (like a year worth) before I finally did it.
