Both are good engines. I can't say which one is better. Both are extremely dependable. The 6.2L shines in the fuel economy department and the engine behaves more like a gas engine since it makes its power more in the high rpm range. The 5.9L has more grunt power but takes longer to accelerate from 0-60 mph. It's also a bit quieter and smoother running than the 6.2L.
