According to 73-87.com, 77 was the transition year for bucket seats. You could have either high back or low back. So its possible that the seats are the originals. Also didn't GM usually put tan seats in brown interior trucks?

Bucket seats have always been available in Blazers (Jimmys), Suburbans, and pickup trucks...and the seats are all basically the same. GM used what are commonly referred to as "low back" bucket seats up until 1977, with "high back" seats thereafter.
