Re: Diesels?

From guys who I have talked to that have replaced diesels with new ones they are not happy with the fuel economy. Example, a buddy had an 03 GMC Duramax and was getting around 18 mpg with it. This is a work truck and he hauls a chemical truck and is in and out of lease sites. He bought a 2010 Chev 1 ton with the Duramax and wasn't able to get 12 mpg with it. He had to install a second fuel tank on the machine to be able to conduct his daily run. He was not happy.....

I think the 04 -06 diesels are getting a premuim right now from people who do not want the new technology.

So what is my 2004 Silverado 2500HD, LS, crewcab, 4X4, original owner, 175,000 kms worth? Not for sale, but I have considered selling it before the bubble bursts on used diesel trucks.
