I'm not saying diesels aren't better then gas trucks, but to buy a truck that is 50,000kms from a rebuild makes no sense. Say I purchase the 450,000km diesel for $17,000, then in 50,000kms I have to rebuild or replace the diesel, at from what I've seen in this area $5000-8000 or more, depending what route you take. You might as well spend the extra $10000 on a low mileage diesel.
