If you plan to run anything taller than a 35" tire, I'd go with the 6". I bought mine with a 4" installed, and 36/14.5's, and the previous owner had cut the front corner out of all 4 fenders to get clearance. I have 35/12.5's on it now, and I'm still concerned about clearance, with any suspension flex, after I restore the fenders to stock.
