Unless your hauling daily, or driving long trips, get the gas. My 07 duramax gets 11mpg around town on winter blend fuels, but if I'm hauling I still get 11, my 6.0 gas got 12 around town, and 7 towing.
06-07 LBZ seems to me to be the best d-max, they bring huge money, mostly because (as said here) the LMM of 08 hasn't been getting crap for mileage. And when I priced a new dmax 3500 last fall, the new dmax was $11,500 addition. Ouch!!!!!
