I am just starting this project, the truck was my Dad's 1970 GMC 2500 long box, Bought new. I am taking it all the way down, Bringing it back up as a short box step side, I have a Cummins 4bt and T5 trans, 3.08 10 bolt diff. If I did my math right and the 4 banger has the torgue I should see good economy w/o sacrificing road speed. Couple questioned to you seasoned vets, any hints to a good frame chop to and suggestions on suspension options?
