Re: 496 to be DYNO'D!

Numbers PT gave are below running 91 octane and 165* coolant temps.

Adjusting windage and setting the bottom end to a lower drag set up netted a pinch over 30ftlbs and 30hp through out the full curve bringing 641ftlbs @ 4,600 and 629hp @ 5,600.

Adjusting headflow after adjusting the windage/friction netted 642ftlbs @ 4,500 and 630hp at 5,700. Keep in mind, I don't have updated flow numbers for the exhaust which could move things higher if I had them. Also, wish I had .600 numbers to use over .550. I have found the program to be most accurate using .300 .500 and .600. I know the intake side of the cam never sees that lift, but it just works better. Could be showing less power with that as well.

Also, Mark did not provide all the details on the cam. IE intake centerline and LSA. I am going off previously posted LSA and a 112 ICL.

Unfortunately the program is only as good as the info provided. It has proven itself time and time again when ALL the accurate data is given. But there is a lot of guess work here. I hope it is conservative and you get to that 640+ftlbs @ 4,900 and 700hp @ 6,300 Mark is mentioning. I know this isnt the first motor Mark has built.
