Bottom line is, there is always someone faster than you. There is always someone with more money than you. The NHRA top fuel class runs a 4 second 1/4 mile at 300 MPH, and that's with a lot of rules that keep them at that speed.

The question is, does your ride make you happy? You know you built it and put a lot of hard work into it, and you know it puts a smile on your face every time you light up the tires. That's all you need.

Just remember, anyone can sign a loan for a new car, but not everyone can turn wrenches and build one. Furthermore, if someone has to come out and say that their ride is so much faster than mine, they obviously have some insecurities and I don't like people with that kind of attitude anyway.
