thanks for the input. this impala column is not here where I can measure it, and I don't know if I trust this person to measure it.................but it looks to be in nice shape, has everything, and I like the idea of the tilt. It also has the automatic shifter, I will need at some point. AND the price is right! I have captainfab's adjustable rag jount flange end piece, which can allow some adjustment to the shaft length, IF it fits over the Impala's steering shaft OK.

I guess I am wondering also about how the shifter linkage location and mounting bracket works in the truck, if it ends up in about the right place. Seems like I'm going to have to take a ride and look at this thing.
