I've had excellent service from KYB Gas-A-Just shocks which contrary to their name, are not adjustable. They are a bit firmer than OEM and have great rebound control. The ride will soften up a tad with use but they retain good control (they don't get mushy). And they're reasonably priced for a high-quality shock.

I've also heard good stuff about Monroe Sensa-Tracs.... I just haven't owned them.
