I'm the kinda guy that loves little detail stuff. It all adds up in the end. I'm also gong for a simple clean install. I ran all my wiring for the front under the fender well and under the hood latch support panel. I drilled a hole in the lower corner near the driver vent to send the harness up front. Worked ok but to big a bulge to cover up. I'm thinking of going higher on the the side level with the dash for next time.

For the engine I plan on mounting the ecm inside just like you and drilling a hole low on the firewall near the trans tunnel hidden behind the motor.
