It looks like the Haywire setup uses OEM GM color coding that has been the same since they went to plastic coated wiring on all GM vehicles that I know of. The green and yellow being the turn signals as you mentioned and the brown/tan being the tail lights.
G&G'S 57GMC nailed it as far as checking the lights go.
It could be worse, the po could have wired the whole truck with red wire like my buddy's old 29 A roadster was back in the late 70's That wasn't fun to troubleshoot the tail lights on on the side of the road headed to a rod run.
