I am a hard core proponent of keeping the master cylinder under the floor even if you have to work around it a bit on some applications. The main reason is not having the clutter on the firewall.
I had a hydroboost on the 77 Chev 1 ton 4x4 that I had for a few years and that truck had the best feel to the brakes of any truck I have ever owned. I'm seriously thinking about putting that setup on the 48.
