My son painted his truck hot rod black with an orange interior and orange under the hood, it looks real good.
I am painting the firewall in my 67 black because I live out in the country on an old gravel road and the truck will be driven often on unpaved roads.
A lof of people paint the firewall the body color and it looks real good.
Go with the color that makes you happy.
