Re: Firewall Paint

I'm not sure if it works for anyone else or not, but I didn't have the dough or inclination to get the cab down to a painter, or hire a painter to come out and do the interior and firewall. My build dictated that I get the firewall done, then the inner fenders, so I could continue the work. I had settled on a "black cherry" color for the exterior, and hoped I could go that way with the interior, too.

But money and time had me buy some single stage paint, paint the interior, inner fenders and firewall a color that would be at least "complimentary" to the final paint code on the "Black Cherry".

Here'are a few shots. Over some time.

I'd generally say that I agree with the satin black in the compartment and the body color on the firewall. But life doesn't always follow the plan.

And, in the end, making it a personal statement is what it's all about.
