Re: Attempt/Mistake #2

Trying to make lemonade out of lemons. So since I am blasting frame again anyways I decided that I was going to POR 15 the INSIDE of the frame via all the holes that I have drilled in the rails. My thinking is that since I am blasting the outside anyways whatever sand gets in and strips that portion of POR 15 the epoxy that I am spraying on the outside will cover that then bare metal. The reason I don't want to spray straight epoxy into the rails is that even the sand blaster didn't remove all the rust out of them (and unlike POR 15 manufacturor SPI makes no claim to being able to put over rust). So I followed the prep to the letter, ran my two air driers on my compressor so I had totally dry air. Then I fogged POR 15 into every hole on the frame. It looks like I got pretty good coverage. I had previously put screws into the holes that I tapped for my brake lines and rear wiring harness (so as to not mess up the threads when blasting). Pulled these screws out after spraying interior of rails and all the threads had a good coating of POR 15. (the screws that do not have any paint on them were blind tapped).
