Re: Replacing upper and lower ball joints on the '63, not much 'fun'
It's my understanding the only two ways to get that lower ball joint out is heating the control arm and using a big hammer, or a ball joint press. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a ball joint press, so heating and banging is the only option.
I don't think you'll be able to bang it out without heating that control arm up. I know my are in solid.
