Well it may not have been today so to speak, but over the weekend I got to run my 69 C10 down the 1/4 mile for the first time! After 8 years of having it on the street with 3 different engines and 2 paintjobs its never seen the track! It saw over 400 of miles of street driving last week alone! Drove it to work and back (33 miles one way) every day of the week plus all over hell to run every errand I had
. Needless to say I had a blast driving it all week long, then got to drive it 1 1/2 hrs East to Rock Falls Raceway outside of Eau Claire WI. I ran a 13.81 @ 98 mph my first pass ever in 95+ degree heat with extreme humidity and a crazy stumble off the line. Best pass of the weekend was 13.6 @ 102 mph with a full tank of gas and 150-175 lbs of stereo still in the truck, and drove it home in the rain! Not the fastest thing out there, but you bet your @$$ it was a fantastic experience!
