Sure thing there. Fram filters are crap. I would compare them to a coffee strainer, but I am sure even some of those would still be better.
My reasons:
1. very few pleats
2. lousy-made poorly supported filter "paper" can fall apart blocking oil passages & the pickup screen, ruining your engine. Seen this many times. Ford 2.3 4cyls seem to die a sudden death from them, usually before they even make it home from the wally-lube.
3. They even look cheap on the outside.
4. Guys like me who are strongly opposed to them will rib you relentlessly until you remove it.
