Cut A New Mirror For The Inside Of The '70

-
I've been wanting to try this for quite a while. I have a lot of mirrors for our trucks but they all have the dredded hazy/crappy mirror syndrome. I had some free time today so I decided to bite the bullet. I had to break out the old glass so I wouldn't destroy the rubber surround, made a pattern, and cut a new mirror. I cleaned up the edges of the new mirror with my glass grinder (used for stained glass work) and checked it for size. I then took it out to the shop and set the heat gun up so I wouldn't have to hold it, and heated the rubber up as I peeled it around the outside of the mirror. It turned out great. The reflection is the ceiling in the laundry room..... I will take a picture of it installed tomorrow.
