Those bumpers look pretty cool but for 1500 bucks you could most likely buy your own wire feed welder, a plasma cutter, grinder+disks and some literature on fabricating stuff. You cant put a price on the satisfaction of creating something from raw material by hand with nothing but a mental image of what you think it should look like.
My example:
I wanted to change the look of my Dads little Jeep truck, every after market bumper I found was WAYYYYYYY expensive and the only affordable ones were basically a straight piece of square tubing with tabs welded on.
I spent around 100 bucks for steel, 10 bucks on spray paint, 10 bucks for some weld on D-rings and another 20 for a set of cheesy harbor freight off road lights. My Dad has been using the bumper to push cars and other stuff around his property for the past couple years with no problems, he said its been very usefull.
