I think in the end, I would go with the overall look you want. If you like the look of staggered, then I suggest that. Sometimes these trucks are weekend cruisers and not DD's (some are DD's, which I think is sweet), so rotating tires is not a big deal. The mileage it sees per year is not a lot, and worth running the wider tire in the back.
Make sure when you see your truck, you think to yourself..... "Now that looks sweet
"... and not "I should have done it the other way".
