If all else fails, check your driveline u-joints. Make sure they are in good shape, and make sure the yokes are phased properly. I have had many strange vibrations, noises, and motions that have all been attributed to a bum u-joint or out of phase yokes.
I also agree with bumping the base timing up to 10-12 degrees. Even if this is not the problem, your truck will run better.
